Tiny Giants – HO Scale Trains and Collectables

Lately, during the winter months I've been noticing that many of the people I follow on Instagram are painting model trains. Which leads to this post - "Tiny Giants". A website and also an annual exhibition, where they showcase and feature over 800 hand-painted HO scale model trains and other rail line works painted from artists from USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Australia and Russia. The founder and chief curator of the site, "KB" began collecting the trains because he found it was a better alternative to having his favorite artists rock a blackbook joint for him. He states that even though they are "a pain in the ass to paint, most artists were down" and the collection just grew from there. They started showcasing the cars in 2012 to share the massive collection with the public and created their website in 2014 as a way to offer underground artists work on rail line memorabilia to collectors without having to sacrifice their anonymity. The items are priced by the artist, and every piece comes with a hand signed and hologram numbered embossed Certificate Of Authenticity. In addition to the custom graffitied HO scale trains, they also feature custom weathered Trains, hand painted signs, vintage rail line pins and vintage rail line patches. Check out some of the images below for examples of some of the work available. For more information, be sure to check out their site - tinygiants.us or TinyGiants Instagram. Their showcase will happen in Spring in Los Angeles. More info to come once the date has been finalized.
